Warm Welcome to the Department of Catering and Hotel Management of Alagappa University, Started on 2007 a vibrant mix of faculties and well equipped laboratory, students had get exposure in industry during the training period. They will learn French Language, excellence in each and every aspect has played an imperative role in the University. The Department offers various activates like guest lecture, Seminar, Conference, Workshops, cooking competition, paper presentation to encourage and motivate the young hoteliers.
The Department offers the following courses:
- B.Sc Hotel & Catering Management
- Diploma in Hotel Management

Program Educational Objectives
- The graduates will be technically competent to excel in hospitality industry and to pursuer higher studies.
- The graduates will possess the skills to develop economically and technically using the knowledge to ensure their own development in industry.

Students will have:
- An ability to apply knowledge of Humanities and Management in catering science and hotel management.
- An ability to apply knowledge of various cooking techniques in kitchen.
- An ability to create a new trend to be followed the rooms.
- An ability to design a system to process a eco-hotel, environment free, ethic, heritage in new generation.
- An ability to design a new menu and dish.
- An ability to use advanced equipment technology including catering science and hotel management.
- An ability to communicate effectively with all stake holders.

- Recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning.
- B.Sc Hotel & Catering Management.- All students who have passed +2 Std.
- Diploma in Hotel Management.- All students who have passed 10th Std.
