Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Tamil

B.A Tamil Literature course caters to the need of adults who aspire to enhance their competence and knowledge levels in Tamil language and literature. Furthermore, courses on linguistics and translation have been incorporated to suit local need of our bilingual society.

The language course enhance students understanding of linguistic concepts and language discourse from a functional grammar perspective. The literature courses offer and insight into a range of literary genres, periods and styles. The program is taught by qualified lecturers. The career opportunities available for them currently will increase with a Masters degree in Tamil literature.

PO1: Disciplinary knowledge: Capable of demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and understanding of one or more disciplines that form a part of an undergraduate Programme of study

PO2: Communication Skills: Ability to express thoughts and ideas effectively in writing and orally; Communicate with others using appropriate media; confidently share one’s views and express herself/himself; demonstrate the ability to listen carefully, read and write analytically, and present complex information in a clear and concise manner to different groups.
